All Nelson kids should recognise this piece of toast as a Burt Nelson special:
peach toast. Dad liked to make toast for us with peanut butter and slices of peach. Peach toast is like a time machine that puts me in front of our little tv in the living room at 352 staying up late with Dad watching Sanford and Son.

I always wondered why Dad peeled the peaches first (I don't bother). Then I saw Grandma Lillian do it. She also likes to make peach toast. And she makes some kind of raspberry tapioca pudding that rules.

"Rod Skitt" -- translates to "Red Dirt" and it is my favorite dessert ever!....tapioca and raspberry pudding with whipped cream on top! Mmmmmmmm.......c.
...so nice to have those childhood memories and even nicer, I'm sure, for your Dad that you remember it. BUT I never pegged Burt for "Sanford and Son". Our families just keep getting more and more alike...ha ha.
