John just split our oversized one row of hostas and i expanded the bed. Together we have created three rows of supersized hostas that we are anxious to see in their full glory.
A newly dicovered perennial food garden: a freaking ton of daylilies that have also been split and transplanted approximately 1,000,002 times and planted around the yard.
The next project: a plot of excessive bachelor buttons that are very plentiful, but not my favorute of plants and not quite deserving of such a prominent garden all to themselves. Maybe some perennial kale (which i can't find so far, except for in france)
Our annual leaf veggie garden, waiting to sprout.
The newly unearthed veggie garden, which is inspiring all of this research.
Last weeks project: the herb garden
{Day one: Remove all rocks,Day two: remove all plants,Day three: replace plants,Day four: weed fabrics and replace rocks}
I am excited to annouce that the mint that came out of this garden was plentiful enough to replant the same-sized plot here and establish a huge mint garden along the wooded area of our yard, where it cannot invade anywhere it should not. It will be a battle of invasives, and will probably win.
