Lansing Chili Cookoff

We went to the Lansing Board of Water and Light 14th annual Chili Cookoff today. There were exactly one kajillion booths and we tried out about a dozen of them. The lines were long and the portions small but it moved fast and we made up for it on volume.

The second kid batch seemed to enjoy themselves.

Getting around in the double stroller was...difficult.

Chili. It was like a Woodstock for gluttany. Tons of people and all of them holding $5 cans of beer. Instead of Peace and Love it was Squeeze and Chug. We had a good time but made the rounds and high tailed it out of there. Oh yeah, and I got a free Preperation H t-shirt. I would definitely rather have a tube of real prep h.

Wheels

Today was Bear's last day of school; he is officially a 3rd grader now. Danielle took him and a friend to dinner and a movie and then they're back for a sleepover. They went to see Night at the Museum.
Meanwhile, it's me and the babies at the house for the evening. I put Juneau in a backpack and scooted around the driveway with Willow as she learns to ride her new bike. She can totally pedal on her own, just not uphill. And she has the whole steering thing to work out, but she is moving around on her own steam.
Life is good.
