FAIL

So sometimes I watch BBQ-U on PBS, where I learn about 3-zone grilling. The other day host Stephen Raichlen was preparing some kind of sauce that included a ginger root. Then he put it down on the table strategically and went on talking for a few minutes with that hellhairyass root there.

Friday Night Lights

All the players in the Grand Ledge "feeder system" were invited to yesterday's football game. It was a lot of fun.

Willow could not believe it all and was in heaven: fancy dancing and music, cheering, kids all over the place, "touchdown" being played. She was awe struck and then settled into the fun and was soon asking nearby kids for their popcorn and candy...and for them to paint her nails. I hoisted her up high like the cheerleaders and she instinctively stretched out her arms triumphantly just like the big kids.

All the little players were invited onto the field and the teams were introduced. Bear's team is the Browns. He is one of those little dudes in the brown t-shirts.

The Sock Mystery...

Dude, my socks are about twice the size they are supposed to be!!!All three of these socks came in the same package and are identical. The larger pair did not used to be this way. All of the socks from the package are usually thick, squishy and stretchy soft, but the larger pair is now very thin and huge. I am guessing that the elasticity died. I don't know why, I am perplexed. Has this ever happened to anyone else?!

He Walks!!!!

This little stinker decided to walk last night. We were working and working with him as he was talking tumbling steps from one to the other, falling into Willow's arms. We thought it was a failed attempt and started getting ready for bed. Before we knew it, we caught out the corner of our eyes, a little tiny human toddling over to the futon from the edge of the couch. After that we could not stop the little guy. He was stepping steps all over the place. He thinks he is the coolest thing on Nelson Street. He now let's go all over the place and takes off stepping, usually to fall in the center of the room...laughing. Good job little guy!!! So, his birthday night he decided to start walking.... his mommy did the same thing. Love it!!!

Success!!!

WIN

FAIL
John came home with new mouse traps yesterday. Two out of two!!! Success!!! Two mice down, who knows how many to go. This must be a recent thing, because up until recently we have seen no evidence. They are not very good at hiding their tracks as of late. We reloaded this morning and are ready to go. I am returning the pricy, girly, fancy model today...totally didn't work.

Mouse in the House

I have freaking Ratatouille going on in my kitchen!!!! I have just witnessed a mouse/mole type-creature sneak out from under my stove and steal a crumb....totally ignoring the mousetrap, which is also under the stove. I just stomped my foot to alert him of my presence so he does not feel comfortable assaulting my home while i just sit and watch. He popped out like three times before the foot stomping. I heard them squeaking two days ago, hence- the mousetrap.
