Here I am pouring out my failed first beer batch. It never fermented. I suspect it was the hot pepper I put in the boil. I have heard that hot spice is a preservative/anti-septic -so maybe I foolishly added a serious anti-fermentation ingredient. Oh well.
It smelled great when I poured it out though and I will try again -this time without the cayenne. If I drank this I am sure I would have died a cold, clammy, gray, shivery, hallucinogenic, two-day death.

thats a bummer! remember to activate the yeast before you pitch it in and it may work out better for the second batch....don't let the dream die!
