First Memories

So, as a parent, you wonder what your children will remember as they grow. This got me thinking of my first memories. This is what i recall...

  • When my mom attempted to go back to work one evening when i was about 18 months old, i remember standing in the middle of the living room, screaming "Mommy!!!!!" with my poor dad standing next to me, not knowing what to do. That job lasted one night.

  • When i recieved "My Little Pony" castle, and possibly the Care Bear cloudmobile.... but that one is vague.

.........What are your first memories??????

I remember running around in the front yard and I fell and scrapped my butt on the sidewalk (I was never clothed)and had to sleep on my stomach with one of those huge bandaids on my tush! I was probably 2.

I remember when John came home from the hospital (I was 2.5) and Bryce and I were in our footed p.j.'s sitting on the couch taking turns holding the baby. My mom walked out of the room and Bryce wouldn't give me my turn. When my mom came back into the room she told Bryce he had to give me a turn and he lied and said I had just finished my turn and gave the baby back to him. I didn't know what to do, so I just sat there, soaking in the injustice!.......c.

That hurts Carol. Two wrongs don't make a right!

It was the blizzard of 1978 and I was only 2 and I remember riding in a toboggan down the big hill. All nine of us just moved into our new house from living with my Grandmother. My brother Thomas was just born then. ~Kara

I remember the day we moved to our new house, people came to help take our furniture to the new house. I went under the bed to sleep? Anyway, I came out and looked out the window, the police were outside and many people. I came walking outside and everyone was thrilled to see me. Apparently I was being searched for because I was missing in action. It must have been a big deal.
