I remember watching Land of the Lost on saturday mornings as a kid and totally being ok with the special effects. I didn't even think of special effects, I just saw a poor scared family's raft fall down a terrible rapids and waterfall. It all looked plausible and real enough. When I saw this again recently I was stunned at my then willing suspension of disbelief.

I tivo'd an episode of the Land of the Lost last week and Kadence and I watched it together. She loved it! All I could think was I can't believe I used to watch this-it is soooo boring! She is pretty much into anything involving dinosaurs so that might have been why she liked it.
That is WAY different than the one I saw as a kid... wierd!
