Instruments on a Shoestring

Danielle and I have begun a purchasing spree for used inexpensive awesome musical instruments. Here is how we rationalize the expense: We don't buy art, and musical instruments are pretty cool looking.

It all started with the accordion Danielle got me for my birthday at the Salvation Army. Price: ~$70. Pick your jaw up off the floor.

Sit down before you read this next part. Danielle got a brand new full-sized violin, case, and bow on ebay for a grand total of $42.

She picked up this beauty at Goodwill for $20. Yes, that's a real violin; you are not dreaming.

The latest addition to the don't know how to actually play these arsenal is this outrageously cool clarinet. She snagged that one on Ebay for around $30.
