This week the Nelsons have been totally absorbed with the new Ken Burns documentary, "The National Parks." It rules and I want badly to rent a 15 passenger van and head on out.
One closing story by one of the main narrators choked me up a bit and I'm not ready to write about what he said but it was beautiful and it was crap that I like.

It makes it hard to take these parks for granted when you find out how hard people worked to create and preserve them!......c.
If you do get a 15 passenger van, I am renting a seat!
Mackinac Island was the second National Park in the country. They gave it to Michigan and then it became the First State Park and Michilimackinac became the second State Park. I love all of the countries parks and we have tried to pass that on to you kids. 1 station wagon,3/4 kids in the back with a play pad,toys,snacks. A 8X10 tent and 11 weeks off in the summer=FUN
