Slackers
I just checked our blog and realized what slackers we are. Posting has definitely slowed since the real life pace picked up.... so just know that we are doing lots of cool things that you guys are not reading about, torturing you with this lack of knowledge. Right now i am just taking a time out from one of the most exciting days of our lives that you will just have to wait to read...well, gotta go!!!

The Game
The first T-Ball game went without a hitch. In this picture, you can see the classic American, 'good game' line slap being instilled at a young age. I think Bear was more looking forward to this then the actual game.
Willow is eying another toddler, who had lent her a baby doll for a short time at the game. When Willow had to give it back, she...was...pissed. She kept careful track of that girl's movements after that.
And here is Kadence enjoying some ice cream somewhere in Florida.
Dear Spencer and Lucas
I'm going to make you a letter that's Marvel. It has bad guys in it and it has Spider Man and Spider Girl -but Spider Girl is getting a wedgie. It's on a humongous piece of paper, but it's a poster. Send me a letter back.
But I have swimming lessons but it's done. But I'm still on level two. But my favorite part is diving and my least favorite part is diving sticks. But on the last day of swimming, we wore life jackets and dove where it's really deep and it was so much fun.
I saw someone at T-Ball that does tennis lessons with me. But the next time I have tennis lessons, I'll have candy. I will; I'm gonna get candy. If I would have beat him five times I would have gotten pop. I would pick the kind of pop -I think.
What are you doing? Because we are going to Mackinaw at 4th of July. And we are staying there 8 days and it is going to be so much fun and my cousins and uncles and aunts are staying at Mackinaw for 14 days. But I wish we were all staying there for 14 days but I never stayed there for 14 days though, but Walker did but not Taylor.
I like to watch your videos on your blog because I love watching videos.
On Kung-Fu Bear a guy jumped out where a bunch of bears were having a snack and one guy fought and one bear did a double kick I think that's what it's called -that's what I call it. And the Bear kicked the guy in the nuts and the guy kicked the bear in the nuts then the big box showed up and the bear was still covering his nuts.
Make your dad take a picture of horse poop on Mackinaw Island if you go there, like I did with Aunt Cheryl.
Taylor invented a rope thing on the tree fort that is hooked to a line and tied to the tree fort and if you fall off you won't actually fall off because you are hooked on. But if you don't hook yourself on you might fall off.
Love, Bear

Delta Township Extravaganza
This Saturday we went to our new library and checked out a crapload (the Canadian rough equivalent of a shitton) of books, cds, and dvds. I got season 6 of Curb. I had a marathon later that evening and dominated it on one go.
There was a township festival and Bear participated in all sorts of regimented physical activities.
Here's another one. He almost made it to the top, but was paralyzed by fear. I can't blame him.
New Fence

The neighbors up in Mackinac have put in a new fence of trees blocking their view of us (and our view of them). This is a relief to me because I could never really feel relaxed outside because I was wondering if I was being watched through their windows (or when they were all hanging out on the porch). Also, they are spared all the strange bizarre things that are probably happening all the time in the Nelsons yard.

Living with bugs
Willow, who is 1, has not yet learned to swat mosquitoes away. Lately, when we are outside, we frantically rush over and brush away several mosquitoes from her face. So far she does not seem to mind them.
Here is a big ol moth or some irradiated Hulk butterfly. You may notice my clever implementation of Natural Light as an aid to scale. It useful on so many levels.
Here is a picture response from Steve, moments after sending along that beer-scale-referenced moth picture up there.

Disappearing Act
Remember those adorable little ducks? They grew up into juicy full-sized ducks. Then they disappeared the other night. We told Bear they must have gotten big enough to fly away but he has been "looking for clues." He has found a couple clues. That pile of feathers up there is one of them.He and Danielle had a talk about the likeliness that they had been eaten by a raccoon or something. She asked him how he felt about it and he said that he was a little sad but that he would "see them again someday."
As I was raking up grass this evening, a red KIA screeched to a stop in our driveway. The socially awkward woman who poured out of it asked if she could come back with a rake and have my grass clippings. I was more than happy to let her. She has a friend with chickens and apparently they just can't get enough grass clippings. Something about yellower yolks.
Bear is helping me finish putting up walls on his 8ft high platform of terror. I have been negligent for 7 months. In that time nobody has broken any bones and it will soon more closely resemble a tree-fort and appear less like ironic installation art. "Nice...deck?"
Totally Missed Home Plate

We got a couple free tickets to a Lansing Lugnuts game the other day. Bear got to run the bases at the end. He was fiercely proud about it.
Random minor league baseball injury update:
- 5 year old girl got a foul ball to the forehead
- little baby got a foul ball ricochet to the head
- the catcher was knocked fully unconscious for several minutes
(Shaina, we got some free tickets, but shoot, if your sister is in the position to give tickets out, we'll send you an email. Is that standard procedure?)
