Bear's New Ducks

Danielle took Bear to Tractor Supply today and they came home with two baby ducks. Bear is really good with them and they have irreversibly bonded to him. He walks all over the yard and they follow around him like -well, like baby ducks.

Bear has named them Quacky-Quack and Ducky-Duck. His naming tendencies are strongly influenced by species.

When Willow firs saw them she was all taken aback and just pointed at them and looked back and forth wide-eyed between me and them and made her any-animal sound, "ffff-ffff!" (which originated with the 'arf' of a dog).

She remains skeptical and pats their heads gently. Occasionally she'll pick one up by its head before we can get to her.

Shattering

Today, on our trip to Dean's in Ohio, we stopped for a snack about half way there. When I rolled my window up, it exploded. There were glass bits everywhere. And glass dust shards all up my arm -I got all itchy and rashy like I had been working with insulation or something.
Apparently, Pontiac issued a recall for it last week, so it will be paid for. Some bolt works loose and snaps against the glass on the power windows. It snapped all right.
Pretty startling; we had a good laugh.

That's me still covered in safety glass pebbles. We did not get to go to Dean's. It was supposed to rain there. So we drove home with no window while Willow screamed.

Mii and Steve

Spring Has Sprung, Fall Has Fell, Soon It Will Be Summer And Hotter Than Usual

It's happening. It's really happening.

Could I look any more retarded? Probably, but I would have to cross my eyes or something. Danielle made great grilled cheese sandwiches with muster cheese. Delicious. I had mine with fresh cut tomato -which, apparently, helps make me look a little retarded.

Willow digs the new swing Danielle picked up for her at Tiny Town -a second hand kids shop in East Lansing (home of Erving "Magic" Johnson and the Michigan State University Spartans).

Here Bear does his best to try to look like he is not trying to plow into an unsuspecting Willow. She has not fully absorbed (Pulitzer Prize winner) Jason Tait's: "never turn your back on an opponent."

We have been out grilling lately. Most recently, kabobs with pork, green peppers, onions, and apples.

Sunday

On Sunday, the Bryce Nelsons bought this Saturn Vue. That looks like a quality automobile. I always liked the way Vues look.

The Pasqualis (Dino, Susie, Dean, and his girlfriend, Heather) came over for a visit. We bbq'ed steaks they brought and had some greek salad and...pasta. It was great. You might notice that there is ice in the wine glasses. Maybe you don't know this about Italians, but they like ice in their wine. And they don't have any problem cutting it with a splash of water. Mama Mia!

Dad Dino helped me (I watched) fix our toilet that was broken 6 different ways (we had been flushing with a string tied to some broken bits of toilet mechanics). I learned that the fittings between the bowl and the tank don't follow a standard -those bolt holes can be just about anywhere and good luck lining them up. How many times did I go to Menard's to return/get a tank? Three times. And one trip to Lowes on accident.

Good Lookin

I know, you see some re-runs here; this one should be pretty obvious. But where else would you see such a collection of fine fine looks, all in one group. Gosh, just so good looking. What's the deal with the guy at the top with the far apart eyes??
